I am a postdoctoral researcher and received my PhD in Health Sciences from VIB and Ghent University. During my PhD, I developed a user-friendly tool called MAPPI-DAT. It is a combined (meta-)data management and analysis environment for protein-protein interaction data generated by the high-throughput cell microarray MAPPIT technique, developed in the Cytokine Receptor Lab (VIB). I also developed a novel pipeline to detect protein associations from publically available high-throughput mass spectrometry-based proteomics experiments. To extend the accessibility of the derived association network, I designed and build a protein association database called the online Tabloid Proteome.

My current the research aim is to further extend and develop the online Tabloid Proteome, by expanding existing association network through the inclusion of additional data, and by further mining the acquired association network for the biological knowledge.
